After another great training with the Pennsylvania Head Start Association in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, several Head Start groups took some time to give us feedback. Click on the link below to see what they had to say.

4 from our agency attended the Kansas City training in March and was wowed by the activities and wonderful, dedicated trainers. It was so much fun! I wish I could dance like Choosy! Can't wait to train staff and parents. We will be busy this summer developing it! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Kriss

This training made me look at the physical activity we offer our children, and what I do! I have brought back what we learned, and the kids love it. It is so great to see them so happy to move......ALL OUR HEARTS SAY "THANK YOU!"

Our agency recently had Choosy visit 4 sites. My class personally had been gearing up for it for weeks--practicing songs, improving behavior, and just really building on excitement. The parents weren't exactly sure what was happening, but they knew it was BIG!
I want to be the first to inform anyone looking at this program, that children with disabilities can thrive from it. I watched one student's behavior decrease to no episodes of defiance, staying on task, and really trying new things after this visit. The mother has also witnessed a change in attitude at home stating her child refers to decisions that Choosy would or would not like the behavior at hand. This child's self esteem has risen to cloud nine and the smile grows bigger every day. Thanks Choosy! Our class loves you!!!
On another note, I previously worked one on one with a child having Down's Syndrome. Choosy helped her learn her colors, body parts, and gain increased control in gross motor movements. Every day we had a ritual of the Soup songs and movement. She loved it, and I ended up with a work out myself. The clarity of her language usage also improved.
Thanks again for a wonderful program!!!!!!!!

To the presenters at the Region 8 IMIL training in Salt Lake City, thank you so much for providing exciting information and ideas. You are all AWESOME! Upon returning from the training, we have had two opportunities to present what we have learned.
The first training we presented was to our staff (65 individuals). They have shown great excitement and many are already using some of the ideas in their classrooms. They have also experienced OOH-AAH momemts. The second training was for the Early Childhood Coordinators at their state wide meeting in Montana.
We had a blast sharing information with those who attended. We will be presenting at the Early Childhood Conference in Butte on April 19th. Thank you again for empowering us with such awesome knowledge! We will continue to "Celebrate the Moment"!!!!! On behalf of Lynette, Sue and Pat. Thank you again and we look forward to future trainings. Donna Kenney

I attended the IMIL training in Salt Lake City. It was awesome, fun and very motivating! I returned to the classroom and we all started moving, moving, moving. The children LOVE Choosy already because we have fun with his music and all the ways he's teaching us about foods and moving. Some children who rarely moved before are starting to participate in activities with smiles. The children beg for Choosy songs and parents report they're coming home tired-can I hear an OO-AAH!

IMIL was the best training session I have ever attended because of the fact that I learned and had fun at the same time! We presented IMIL at our Parent Committee Meeting on 4/3/08 and parents excitedly participated singing, moving, and signing. We are presenting at our all staff meeting for Family Services and cannot wait to share this exciting program throughout our agency. Thank you all for the great work you do!

Dr. Carson and staff, we came back from Salt Lake City so excited and spilling over with enthusiam for IMIL! We have presented it to our Health Service Advisory Committee and management staff. Last week we did our kickoff staff meeting for all our staff. It was so much fun to put your ideas into practice. We have had several teachers that have already revisited their routines to incorporate more movement. We have a menu review meeting coming up and are re-doing our menu to have more involvement with the children making snacks in the classroom and making nutrition a daily activity. We have lots of ideas and are excited for next year to start fresh with IMIL from the beginning. Thank you so much for your training.

One of the Choosy Kids trainers, Brandon Williams, taught us on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. In the 5 hours that we had him, we had a blast. I plan to let everyone I know about this training, and that if they ever get a chance to attend one, they should. Brandon you were great. Thanks for making it a blast.

Teresa and I are so excited to present this to our team this coming school year to be implemented in our program. I myself have implemented the songs with the children and they love it and they love Choosy. The children are beginning to be familiar with good healthy food choices. The conference in Salt Lake was very upbeat and has our staff looking forward to preparing the children in our community to live healthy and active lifestyles now and for the rest of their lives.

Our local team has presented IMIL to our neighboring cities of Anaconda and Dillon, Montana. Much interest and enthusiasm were evident at both sites. We are also continuing through the summer at our child care sites with IMIL acitivities one to two times weekly in each facility. The children are loving it. So are we!!
