Jump on the I am Moving, I am Learning Bus!
This picture was sent in by the Skyline Community Action Program, Inc. care of Laura Hunt Trull, Head Start Director. This Program used an old bus to create a moving and learning classroom to help promote "I Am Moving, I Am Learning," a new Head Start movement designed to reverse the trends of childhood obesity. The bus will travel around the 6 counties and 13 classrooms bringing a mobile moving and learning classroom to all Head Start students.

Surprise visit from Elvis in Region III Training
Elvis joins the Choosy Kids Training Team in Washington, D.C. for a surprise rendition of IMIL Rock.

Choosy Movin' and Groovin' for Region III in D.C.
Choosy is all about more physical activity and better nutrition. Choosy shows the Region III Head Start crowd some less than traditional dance moves. Choosy Kids recommends 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity a day. Dancing is a great way to get your body moving!

Troy Lynn and IMIL featured on the Rachael Ray Show
On a recent episode of the Rachael Ray talk show, Troy Lynn Lavigne was recognized as a member or Rachael's Community of Incredible People. You might recognize Troy Lynn from the Region IV launch event in Atlanta, GA. Troy Lynn performed her, now famous, version of "Say it Loud" to which she added "We're Moving Now" for her fellow Head Start staff.

I had a great time moving and learning. We are rolling out our IMIL plan at our staff meeting on April 15, 2008. The online resources are terrific. Thank again. And "we will we will ORANGE you". Go Orange!

IMIL was the best training session I have ever attended because of the fact that I learned and had fun at the same time! We presented IMIL at our Parent Committee Meeting on 4/3/08 and parents excitedly participated singing, moving, and signing. We are presenting at our all staff meeting for Family Services and cannot wait to share this exciting program throughout our agency. Thank you all for the great work you do!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS TRAINING. IT WAS A GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE AND ALSO ALOT OF FUN. I AM GLAD THEY MADE ME ATTEND. WE ARE NOW ADOPTING THIS INTO OUR PROGRAM AND POLICY COUNCIL.....LET'S DO IT AGAIN. - ORANGE YOU GLAD.......

The training was wonderful. Now that we are back home we are movin into motion with IMIL. This training was the best. Hello to my yellow team!! Don't be mellow, jingle like jello.
