New Hampshire Health Advocates Issue Anti-Obesity Recommendations, Launch Healthy Lifestyles Initiative

The Foundation for Healthy Communities, an affiliate of the New Hampshire Hospital Association, on Wednesday released recommendations to help the state curtail childhood obesity, the Associated Press reports. After calculating in fall 2006 that nearly one-third of New Hampshire children were obese or overweight, the foundation convened a panel of health experts to identify ways for families, schools, physicians and community organizations to foster healthy lifestyles.
