The Greater Rochester Health Foundation has committed $50 million over the next decade to address childhood obesity in Monroe County, New York. Initial grantmaking is targeting children younger than five, with support going to family child care sites and child care centers.
A grant in the amount of $307,841 will support Action for a Better Community to implement the Eat Well and Be Well program, which focuses on children in Head Start settings and builds on the I am Moving, I am Learning and Little Voices for Healthy Choices models.
