Last Friday federal lawmakers reached a tentative agreement on the latest draft of the farm bill that would add $10.4 billion for nutrition programs, the Washington Post reports. The proposed $280 billion, five-year federal farm bill would support a significant increase in nutrition programming, with a particular focus on programs that help low-income families.
