California County Task Force Launches Childhood Obesity Web Site

The Get Healthy San Mateo County Task Force in California has launched a Web site to provide adults, educators, health care providers and community members with the tools necessary to help lower the county's childhood obesity rate, the Associated Press reports. Funded by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health and the San Mateo County Health Department, the Web site features healthy recipes, exercise tips and news about childhood obesity. It includes a section with funding opportunities for healthy eating and physical activity programs.
