Students at Valleyview Elementary School could be leading a healthier lifestyle if an alliance between the school and a health care agency is successful.

The Active Playground Partnership, a collaboration between Valleyview and Bassett Research Institute in Cooperstown, recently received a $12,000 grant from Wal-Mart Foundation to buy new playground equipment at the school, according to a foundation media release.
