Missouri University, Farmers Union to Provide Local Produce to Schools

The Missouri Foundation for Health has awarded a three-year, $248,000 grant to Saint Louis University (SLU) to provide locally grown produce to the Maplewood-Richmond Heights School District, the St. Louis Business Journal reports. Specifically, the grant will allow SLU to collaborate with the Missouri Farmers Union to select local farms to provide produce and other locally grown foods for the district’s child care centers and elementary, middle and high schools.
